CSS Awards accepts website submissions from anywhere in the world. Agencies, studios, independent designers, developers, clients, and website owners may submit work.

There is no fixed launch window. Recently launched websites and established websites that have undergone a substantial redesign are both eligible. A website may be resubmitted after meaningful design, content, or technical changes.

Every submission must meet the following baseline requirements before it can enter review.

• The website must be publicly accessible during the review period.
• The submitted work must be substantially complete and ready for real users.
• The submitter must be the owner, creator, client, or an authorised representative.
• The website must function on current desktop and mobile browsers.
• Submitted information and project credits must be accurate.
• The website must not contain unlawful, deceptive, hateful, or harmful material.

Temporary access credentials may be supplied for gated experiences. CSS Awards is not responsible for a review delay caused by missing, expired, or incorrect credentials.

The fee covers administration and evaluation of one website. It does not guarantee nomination, publication, feedback, or an award. There is no annual listing fee or badge renewal charge.

Eligible submissions are assigned to independent judges and evaluated using the same five-part framework. Most outcomes are issued within 10 working days, although complex projects may require more time.

Judges must declare conflicts of interest and will not review work they created, commissioned, advised, or have a close commercial relationship with. Decisions are based on the website available during the review period.

Not every submission becomes a nominee, and nomination does not guarantee progression. WOTM and WOTY selections are chosen from eligible winners within the relevant period.

Selected projects receive official badge assets for light and dark backgrounds. Badges may be displayed on the awarded website, case studies, portfolios, social media, and promotional material connected to the awarded project.

• Do not alter the logo, wording, proportions, or award level.
• Do not use a badge for a different project or unawarded version.
• Do not imply endorsement of unrelated products, services, or claims.
• Linking the badge to the permanent CSS Awards profile is recommended.

By submitting, you confirm that CSS Awards may review the website and, if selected, publish the project name, URL, screenshots, submitted description, credits, technology, category, country, and award information.

Copyright remains with the original rights holders. CSS Awards receives only the limited permission needed to evaluate, publish, archive, and promote the submission and its recognition.

CSS Awards may reject or remove a submission for false credits, copyright complaints, manipulated information, unavailable content, malicious behaviour, unlawful material, badge misuse, attempts to influence judges, or conduct that undermines the integrity of the platform.

A full refund may be requested before evaluation begins. Once a submission enters review, the fee is normally final because evaluation work has started.

Duplicate payments and confirmed technical billing errors will be refunded. A website not receiving a nomination or award is not grounds for a refund.
